There’s no denying local talent, unique style, or a fresh perspective on the otherwise established vibe of the California surf industry. For some who grew up listening to death metal by morning and catching waves under the dying sun, being a walking, or surfing, contradiction was a way of life. Thus enters OurCaste; a small collective of Southern California creatives who are pioneering surf’s new punk aesthetic. But it’s not all black tees and pissed off looks for these guys. OurCaste showcases itself as a well balanced portrait of creative possibilities, care-free enthusiasm, and a perfectly healthy amount of devil-may-care attitude. Comprised of surfers, skateboarders, artists, designers, photographers, and adventurers alike, OurCaste is as fresh and aspirational as they come.
